Summary: Desperation led Kim Jaejoong to request a love potion from his scientist-wannabe friend, Shim Changmin. His sunbaenim crush in school, Eric Mun is about to transfer abroad and he must find a way to prevent him from leaving. Using the self-made love potion called "One Shot", Jaejoong would do his best to seize his heart. Unfortunately, the potion was mistaken as a soda drink by the resident kingka, Jung Yunho... who accidentally falls in love with Jaejoong in just one shot. How will Kim Jaejoong escape from this mess?

chapter eight (8.A) ;

After that night, I didn't see Yunho again. God, how I wanted to see him. I don't care what he think of me but I'm going to pursue him. Yes, I'm going all out and I don't give a damn on the consequences. But I need Changmin's opinion about this.

At times like this, I really need my bestfriend. But why is he so unreachable right now?

Yunho was still not around our class, so it didn't went smoothly for me. My classmates were either throwing ball of papers at my direction when the teacher was writing on the board or passing notes full of insults to my desk. I patiently ignored their bullying and prayed for their souls to rot in hell. I waited for the period to be over and finally, it was break time.

I was the first one who left the room, faking the 'Excuse me seongsaengnim, I had to pee.' and fidgeting on my pants. I ran my way to the laboratory room, only to pause when I hear familiar voices. I peeked on the slightly opened door to see who is it. It's rare for Changmin to hang out with people.

Since when did Yunho & Changmin get this close?

"I can't lie to him anymore."

What were they talking about?

"So you want to tell Jaejoong-hyung that I faked the potion and you drank it just to grab his attention? You want to tell the truth? We'll gonna be in trouble."

Yunho ran his hand over his locks and grunted, "We both know it's bound to happen. That thing isn't legit. You just made it up."

Wait... w-what?

"We're so dead, you know that--"

"Yeah, right. You're so gonna be dead."

I stepped inside the room to see the two gaping in shock. I just ruined their plan, I'm glad I did.

"So you're talking about the potion's just a decoy?"

The two didn't answer my question and just stood there lifelessly. As if I'm talking to lifeless statues & mannequins.

"All this time... you lied to me?"

I walked towards Yunho, who was still in shock on my sudden appearance. "Are you just playing with me?"

"Jaejoong-ah..." He managed to say.

Changmin spoke out. "Hyung... you heard all of it?"

I let out a huge sigh, trying to cool myself down. "Okay, I get it. All this time it was just the potion talking. Don't worry, I was never affected to any of this anyway."

With that, I ran out of the laboratory room. I can hear Yunho chasing me but I was too fast. Until I found myself on the school's greenhouse. Right there, I cried my heart out.

I was about to fall for him... and he just deceived me in the end.

I don't know how many hours I spent on crying at the greenhouse. One thing I know, I've already missed some of my classes.

I don't want to attend class and face Yunho. I don't want to hear what he's going to say because he's a fucking liar and he made a fool out of me and I dunno...

I don't know anything anymore.

Someone entered the greenhouse. I was about to yell that person to go away but it's just my bestfriend.

"Changmin..."

Of course, he knew where I'll be. This greenhouse used to be my hide out, and only Changmin knows about that.

"You knew all of this? Your potion is a total fraud. I'm so damn stupid to believe it."

Silence enveloped us as I sobbed into my bestfriend's arms. Changmin may be evil outside but he's the most soft-hearted person I've ever met. He's younger than me but he knows how to handle older people around him. Maybe because he was born with two sisters who cherish him.

"Jaejoong-hyung, I'm so sorry. I just want you to realize what true love is. Consuming love potions just to persuade someone to love you is not a good solution. You don't have to rely on magic to find true love. You have to earn it through effort."

Changmin was right.

"That Yunho-hyung... he approached me first before I endorsed you the potion. A notorious kingka like him... who would've thought a man like him actually likes you. He seemed really genuine towards you, and he feel hopeless... because all this time your mind is only focused on Eric-sunbae. So I helped him. I gave him two weeks prior to the potion's effectiveness."

All this time, I only think about myself. I didn't think about what Yunho truly feels.

"He didn't bribe you with anything right? Did he force you using violence?"

"No, he didn't." He shyly rubbed his nape. "But would you go mad at me if I say I did it for one year food supply?"

So that explains the endless food Changmin's getting. I finally cracked a smile in front of my bestfriend, and the latter joined me. But my thoughts flee to his insights, leading me to think about Yunho.

So... he likes me all this time.

Why didn't he just tell me the truth?

My smile faded as I think about Yunho. "If that man already lied to me, how will I question his loyalty?"

Changmin scooted closer to me and put his both hands on my shoulders. "Not that I'm completely siding Yunho-hyung but believe me. That man will do anything just to be with you, hyung."

The next few days, Yunho was nowhere to be found. Until it turned into weeks of absence.

What's new... he's Jung Yunho. He usually does school slacking before the love potion thingy happened.

I feel like a zombie. My head feels light, I must have been missing a lot of sleep. My brain isn't functioning lately.

I said before that I'm going to pursue Yunho without thinking the consequences. But now that things were totally messed up, I seriously don't know what to do. If no one would lead me, I might just give up. Why would I fight for the one who already torn his loyalty on me?

I stared at the two paper cups standing beside each other on my bedside table. One was the empty tall coffee cup I had during our first date and the second one was the small paper cup I had when Yunho saved me.

Why do you have to make it hard for us? We're getting there and yet you...

A tear fell down from my eye, followed by two... and just like that, river of tears were cascading on my cheeks.
